Family Friendly Study Space (Goleman Library Second Floor: Public Use Rooms) Capacity: 4

Description

The Library is pleased to offer a family-friendly study option for our student parent/guardians. This space is designated for use by our student parent/guardians who need a quiet place to study with their children. Childcare will not be provided. Nursing mothers may nurse in the privacy of the room or may pump, but no sink is available within the space. The study room is available by appointment only using LibCal Occupancy is limited to 2 adults and 2 children at one time. Students may reserve the room for up to 2-hours once per day. This room is only available for one family per 2 hour check out period.

The family friendly study room contains:

  • 1 toddler table with 2 toddler chairs
  • Children’s rug.
  • Board books
  • 1 adult sized adjustable height table with rolling desk chair;
  • 1 Gliding Rocker
  • Electrical Outlet
  • 1 Personal Computer with internet access

The following items are available for check-out for use in the room upon arrival: 1 item each reservation.

  • 1 set wood puzzles
  • Qizfun Educational Activity Sensory Board Toy
  • Building Blocks for Toddlers
  • Foam Tower Building Blocks

By using this room, you agree to follow the policy below:

  • To use this room, you must be a Delta College student eligible to borrow library materials with a child present at time of requesting access. The student must be present in the room for the duration of the check-out period.
  • The student should report for their appointment at the Reference Desk to be keyed into the room. No renewals permitted.
  • Family-Friendly Study Room use is limited to the parent(s)/guardian(s) who made the reservation. This is not a group study space.
  • Parent/guardians are responsible for their children’s safety and behavior. Do not leave your children unattended. If an unsupervised child comes to the attention of library personnel, Delta College Police will be contacted.
  • All library users must comply with campus behavior standards. Anyone found to be disruptive may be asked to leave.
  • Changing tables are available in the restrooms (men's and women's) on the 1st floor. Please do not use the Family Friendly Study Room for diaper changing.
  • Do not leave any personal items in the room. Personal items will be sent to campus lost and found.

Before leaving, please return the room to the configuration and condition in which you found it. Please report any large messes or issues with cleanliness to the Circulation Desk.
